Tulsa Volunteers Work To End World Hunger

Posted: Updated:

A local church is coming together to feed 100,000 hungry children.

Volunteers of all ages came together at Redeemer Covenant Church this weekend.

The volunteers are working to hand-pack meals to ship out to third world countries.

Each shift of 500 workers lasted about two hours.

Organizers say world hunger is an issue that can be tackled one bite at a time.

Each meal costs about a quarter to produce.

Once they wrap up Saturday night, the packages will ship to Haiti and a few other countries.
