A spokesperson for T. Boone Pickens says the oil tycoon's grandson has died.

Thomas "Ty" Boone Pickens IV was a junior at Texas Christian University.

Fort Worth police responded to a report of a dead person at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.  The person was taken by private vehicle to a hospital where he died.

It is not clear how he died, but a medical examiner will determine the exact cause.
