Police, firefighters respond to gas leak at shopping center

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police and fire departments responded to a reported gas leak at Ashley Town Center Wednesday morning.

The shopping center is located off Savannah Highway.

According to Charles Francis with the CPD, dispatch got the call at 8:53 a.m. and SCE&G has been notified.

An SCE&G spokesperson side later Wednesday afternoon that they had not been notified of any gas leaks in the area.
