The Dot Net Factory, an industry leader in Cloud Security and Identity and Access Management, today announced that Ujwal Halkatti was promoted to the position of vice president of engineering effective January 29th and Carles Dalmau moved to the position of vice president of product architecture to accommodate increased organizational growth from record sales and profitability in 2012.
Mr. Halkatti is responsible for overseeing the areas of software development, quality control, project delivery and service. In his previous role as director of engineering for The Dot Net Factory, Mr. Halkatti was instrumental in the delivery of EmpowerID 2012. He brings over 12 years of experience in enterprise software development. Mr. Dalmau leads the core product design for EmpowerID, as well as solution design for large enterprise customers and has worked in a similar capacity for The Dot Net Factory for 8 years.
Mr. Halkatti was Director, Software Development at Solarwinds, a public software company, where he was responsible for delivering storage and virtualization management products. Prior to that, Ujwal served as Director, Product Development at Tek-Tools during a period of rapid growth between 2005 and 2010, which resulted in a successful acquisition of the company. At Tek-Tools, Ujwal managed and built the engineering team which developed Profiler, a popular end to end storage and virtualization monitoring solution adopted by over 1000 companies and major OEM partners worldwide. Following Tek-Tools acquisition by Solarwinds in 2010, Ujwal managed the integration of the staff and the products.
“Ujwal has demonstrated the ability and leadership to manage our rapid growth and increased staffing, while maintaining our high standards for development and support and Carles is responsible for the remarkable innovation at the core of the EmpowerID platform that sets new standards for IAM and Cloud functionality and performance. The explosive growth of our client base is a result of the strong leadership that we continue to build and to expand, ” stated Patrick Parker, chief executive officer of The Dot Net Factory.
About EmpowerID | An Industry Leader in Cloud Security Identity and Access Management
EmpowerID from The Dot Net Factory is an innovative and industry-leading approach to the challenges of Cloud Security and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
The EmpowerID approach differs from costly and inefficient legacy IAM products by starting with a platform that is not only built from one single, highly scalable codebase, it is also built entirely on a visually designed workflow architecture, combining IAM with Business Process Automation (BPA) to create a simpler and more easily customized solution. EmpowerID allows trained users to map out complex automated processes that conform to unique organizational requirements quickly and effectively. EmpowerID ships with more than 460 workflows ready to perform complex provisioning and management tasks out of the box. Its Workflow Studio allows developers to connect to existing processes and services and to rapidly create new workflows.
Other key innovations of EmpowerID include: a sophisticated Role Based Access Control (RBAC) technology that can utilize multiple organizational hierarchies to create an intuitive and highly effective method for managing Identity relationships, while also supporting Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC) and direct assignment of privileges; a Metadirectory / Virtual Directory hybrid that provides fast access to easily customized attributes, as well as the ability to poll connected systems on the fly; an integrated and standards based SSO; a configurable HTML5 interface based on “responsive design” that allows content to be properly formatted for a satisfying user experience in the era of “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD); and finally, a deep bidirectional connector model that provides clients with a “single pane of glass” for visibility and control over an enterprise’s entire Identity structure.
