2 Berkeley deputies involved in wreck

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) - Two Berkeley County deputies were involved in an accident Friday afternoon on Highway 402, officials said.

The Highway Patrol says the deputies were riding in the same car when they swerved to avoid an accident. That's when their car side swiped a trailer attached to a passing Ford pick-up truck. The deputy that was driving then over-corrected several times before slamming the car into a tree.

Both deputies were taken to M-U-S-C with no life threatening injuries and no one else was hurt in the accident.
