Deputies: 30-foot sailboat falls from trailer, blocking bridge

JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) - A 30-foot sailboat fell from its trailer on the Limehouse Bridge Friday evening, blocking one lane of traffic.

Charleston County deputies routed traffic around the boat for a little over an hour.

Deputies advised motorists in the area to use caution and avoid the area, but the accident caused about a mile-long backup in either direction.

The roadway was reopened around 8:30 p.m. And traffic was expected to clear around the bridge shortly after.
