NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - Accident reconstruction crews spent Saturday morning reconstructing an accident that took the life of a 35-year-old man last Sunday.

An alert from the state Department of Public Safety said eastbound lanes of I-526 were closed at Leeds Avenue around 8 a.m. for the accident reconstruction team.

Traffic was being rerouted to Dorchester Road and then back on to I-526.

Officials have not reopened the roadway yet.

The accident the crew is reconstructing is the one that killed 35-year-old Serjei Cahuantzi. Police charged Lisa Pistolis with felony DUI in the accident.
