South Carolina barbecue group training new judges

Posted: Updated:

AIKEN, S.C. (AP) - Think you know your 'cue? It's time to put your pork powers to the test.

The South Carolina Barbeque Association is holding a class in Aiken on Saturday to train new judges. Organizers say the all-day seminar at St. John's Methodist Church is designed to get someone started with the five-step process to becoming a certified barbecue judge.

The group has previously held classes in other cities throughout South Carolina, but this is the first offering in Aiken. There's also one annual seminar in Columbia.
