Power Restored After Substation Failure in Area of Port of Catoosa

Posted: Updated:

Power has been restored to several customers Tuesday morning after a substation went out at the Port of Catoosa.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. when the substation at the Port just northeast of Tulsa stopped functioning.

Ed Bettinger with Public Service of Oklahoma told KTUL.com that service was knocked out to approximately 103 customers after the substation outage was reported.

Port of Catoosa's David Yarborough said that the substation serves most of the port industries and was undergoing some upgrades before the outage this morning.

He also said that PSO crews were at the scene all morning until the power was restored just before 9 a.m.
