Man charged in sexual misconduct case in Beaufort

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCIV) – A Columbia man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a lewd act on a child that dated back to a 2004 incident in Beaufort County, state police said.

Hammond Mcqueen Love, 46, was charged with criminal sexual conduct of a minor and booked at the Beaufort County Detention Center.

If convicted, Love faces 20 years in prison.

The State Law Enforcement Division conducted the investigation at the request of Clemson University police.
