CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - A string of flights into and out of Charleston International Airport have been delayed or canceled Friday as a result of the snow storm moving into the Northeastern U.S.

According to a release from airport officials, three arrivals and two departures from LaGuardia on Delta Airlines planes have been canceled. Flights to and from JFK Airport were also canceled.

Two United flights to Newark and one coming from Newark have been canceled.

United has also delayed by several hours a flight to Washington Dulles International Airport and a flight leaving Dulles for Charleston.

The airport is asking passengers to check with their airlines before arriving at the airport in the event their flight has been canceled or delayed.
