Halestorm struck Grammy gold Sunday night.
The band, which got its start in Red Lion, York County, won the Grammy award for the best Hard Rock/Metal performance with their song "Love Bites."
Halestorm was the upstart of the category, going up against more established artists like Marilyn Manson, Anthrax and Megadeth.
Halestorm started in York County 16 years ago. Lead singer Lzzy Hale and drummer Arejay Hale are both from Red Lion. Bass player and vocalist Josh Smith is from Willow Grove, Montgomery County. Guitarist Joe Hottinger is also from Red Lion.
Alex Hoff got a look inside a local venue and small-town music shop where Halestorm got their start. Before they took home the win at the Grammy's, they rocked the house in Hellam Township.
Annette Fullerman Thoman, owner of The Tourist Inn, says Halestorm didn't just take the stage: Lzzy and her brother helped build it.
"Lzzy wanted a little cat walk, so her and her family, they put an addition on their stage."
