Duo arrested while breaking into home, deputies say

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) - Two men were arrested during an attempted burglary at an Orangeburg home, Sheriff Leroy Ravenell announced Thursday.

"Roosevelt Emanuel Johnson and Dorian James Bodrick were captured while they were stealing property out of a home on Cloverdale Lane on Wednesday," Ravenell said. "A concerned citizen observed the pair removing property from the yard as well as the residence and contacted law enforcement. The responding officers were able to take Johnson and Bodrick into custody although they were hiding in the woods behind the property."

Ravenell said they were grateful the citizen called officers, adding that the arrest helped deputies solve cases dating back to Jan. 15.
