CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police say an accident involving a school bus and another vehicle occurred around 8:30 a.m. at the corner of Dulsey and Dupont roads in West Ashley.

Police say there were eight students on the bus when it struck a work truck and flipped on its side.

The driver of the work truck, the bus driver, and two students are being transported to MUSC; three other children are being transported to St. Francis Hospital. All injuries are minor.

Police confirm there was no entrapment. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

According to police, all of the children were treated at area hospitals and released. The driver of the school bus is charged with failure to yield the right of way.

Jason Sakran with the Charleston County School District said the bus was heading to St. Andrew's Middle School. He said all affected parents have been notified.
