File Photo (WCIV)MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Mount Pleasant Police Department has joined the Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch, starting on Tuesday.
The county first consolidated back in 2009 and includes:
- Charleston County Sheriff 's Office
- Charleston County Emergency Medical Services
- Charleston County Volunteer Rescue Squad
- Awendaw Fire Department
- City of Charleston Fire Department
- Lincolnville Police & Fire Departments
- North Charleston Police and Fire Departments
- St. Andrews Public Service District Fire Department
- St. Johns Fire District
- St. Pauls Fire Department
Starting at 6 a.m. Tuesday, all communications for the Mount Pleasant police and fire departments were included as well.
In the event of an emergency, Mount Pleasant residents should continue to call 911. To report non-emergency fire and police incidents, residents
should call (843) 745-4000.
In the event that a Mount Pleasant resident would like to speak with the
Chief of Police or administrative staff, they should continue to call the
administrative phone number for the Police Department (843) 884-4176.
