NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – Windsor Hill Arts Infused Elementary School was awarded a $5,250 grant by the South Carolina Arts Commission for the 2013 fiscal year.
The grant allows the organization to purchase fine arts curricula, provide teacher trainings, and supply arts materials for teacher and student use.
"This funding helps us achieve our mission of providing meaningful opportunities through arts infused experiences that create lifelong learners," said Windsor Hill assistant principal Katie Barker.
The school is having an open house on March 7 to show residents how the funds are being used. That event starts at 6 p.m.
