Dorchester Rd gas station hit by armed robber

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- A clerk at the AM Flag Convenience Store on Dorchester Road came face to masked face with an armed robber early Thursday morning.

According to an incident report from the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, the clerk said he was stocking beer in the store's cooler around 2 a.m. when a white male wearing a dark jacket, jeans and a ski mask came up to him with a large knife and demanded money from the register.

The clerk told police the robber made off with about $350 and his cell phone.

Investigators are asking anyone with information on this or any other crime to call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
