MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) – A man accused of stabbing a former Wando High School student to death in the entry of a Walmart has pleaded guilty to the crime.

According to court records, Darius Green was sentenced to 25 years in prison after entering a guilty plea to voluntary manslaughter.

Green was accused of stabbing 20-year-old David J. Moultrie of Mount Pleasant after a fight at the Market at Oakland Walmart on Sept. 28, 2011.

Investigators say Moultrie died at the scene after an altercation outside the entrance near the store's bakery and McDonald's.

Family members say Moultrie and his father both worked at the giant retailer. Moultrie is survived by his parents and four siblings.
