NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - A man surrendered to North Charleston police Tuesday and admitted to being involved in the interstate shooting on Valentine's Day.

According to police, Armond Jesus Bannister, of Summerville, turned himself in to police shortly before noon.

Bannister told officers that he cut off the victim on Interstate 26, but the victim passed him again and began tapping his brakes in retaliation. That led to the shooting incident, he reportedly told police.

Bannister was charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

He is expected to make a bond court appearance Tuesday evening.
