DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) - Crews are working to repair a sewer pipe that failed on Monday on Orangeburg Road in Dorchester County.
Officials said the failure resulted in a sewer overflow of nearly 6,000 gallons.
Dorchester County Water and Sewer crews have contacted the state Department of Health and Environmental Control, who sent an official to the site to survey it.
Officials said the pipe will be repaired and the area around the spill will be disinfected.
