Girl, 8, hit by car in downtown Charleston

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - An 8-year-old girl was hit by a car Wednesday afternoon in downtown Charleston.

Charleston police said the incident happened near the intersection of Nunan Street and Ashley Avenue around 3:10 p.m.

An EMS crew took the girl to Medical University Hospital for treatment, and police said she didn’t receive any serious injuries.

Police said the driver was not at fault in the accident.
