PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) - A concerned citizen's call to Georgetown County sheriff's deputies led to the arrest of a man.

According to deputies, 29-year-old Brandon Cole was arrested after a resident saw him digging through a car and then trying to get away on a bicycle.

When deputies caught up to Cole, they said they found several cellphones, iPods, tools and packs of cigarettes. After using the phones to call people, the deputies determined that all of the phones belonged to people in the area.

All of the items were returned to their owners, deputies said.

Cole was charged with four counts of larceny and breaking into a motor vehicle, and three counts of petit or simple larceny of $2,000 or less.

Cole is currently being held in the Georgetown County Detention Center until a bond hearing is held.
