CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - Charleston police arrested a Ladson man Thursday evening after an investigation led to charges of armed robbery and assault from a day earlier.

Timothy Fred Glines Jr., 32, was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, armed robbery, kidnapping and third-degree assault and battery, according to police.

Police said the female victim picked Glines up in her car around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday. When he got in the car, he started punching her, she told officers.

He then forced her to drive to a nearby ATM and withdraw $500 from her bank account, police reported. She told police she tried to escape, but Glines was able to restrain her and then threatened to kill her if she called police, a report states.

After the altercation, he forced her to go to a Folly Road fast food restaurant, where he got out of the car. The victim then called police, officials said.

Glines was already on probation for failing to stop for blue lights.

He is currently being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center.
