CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police say a husband and wife team were arrested along with one more suspect for an armed robbery outside the Sam Rittenberg Boulevard Outback Steakhouse Friday.
According to police, the robbery occurred around 9:30 p.m. when the victims
walked out of the restaurant and got
into a vehicle. That's when police said two men, one of them armed with a baseball bat, approached the
front passenger side window, robbed both victims and punched the passenger several
times in the face.
Police said the two suspects then fled the area in a vehicle driven by a
third suspect.
Witnesses told the responding officers he knew the two suspects who
committed the robbery and where they might be found. A
short time later, the officers saw the suspects' vehicle on Castle Avenue and the suspects were arrested.
According to the police report, 39-year-old Michele Head and her
husband 40-year-old Glen Head are both charged with two counts of armed
robbery.
The third suspect, 35-year-old Marc Raymond Nelson, faces the same charges along with one for assault and battery in the first degree.
