Local musician arrested for criminal sexual conduct with a minor

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- According to court records, a local musician is facing multiple charges of criminal sexual conduct.

Mount Pleasant police have charged 60-year-old John Brannen with two counts of criminal sexual conduct and one count of performing a lewd act on a child under the age of 14.

We have contacted the Mount Pleasant police and are still waiting for the corresponding reports.

According to Brannen's website, he is a singer/songwriter who has worked with the Eagles, Toby Keith and Shania Twain.
