Boy, 14, surrenders to police in West Ashley burglary investigation

WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) - A 14-year-old boy suspected in a string of burglaries in the Village Green neighborhood surrendered to Charleston police on Monday.

The teen was escorted by his parents, police said.

According to police, the six burglaries happened on Windmill Creek Road and Ammersee Court between Nov. 30 and Feb. 27. The teen is accused of stealing a desktop computer, a laptop computer, a camera and an iPod.

All of the items stolen have been recovered, police said.
