Georgetown man found shot, police now searching for suspect

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCIV) -- Georgetown police are searching for a suspect after they say a man was found shot in his home Monday night.

According to police officials, Tyrone Thompson was transported from his home on Palm Street to Georgetown Memorial Hospital for treatment. Officials have not said how severe the injuries are.

Officers were dispatched to the location in reference to a male that had been shot, according to a post to the Georgetown Police Department's Facebook page.

Officers are interviewing witnesses.

So far, there is no information on the suspect.
