Union Redskins Gunning For Back-To-Back Titles

Posted: Updated:

Rudy Garcia's guys capped off an undefeated season a year ago with a Class 6A state championship against the Edmond Memorial Bulldogs, 37-36.  The Redskins were #1 in the state, the Bulldogs were #2.

If they are going to repeat again in 2013 they've have to go through this years #1 team in Class 6A, the Putnam City Pirates.

It's been somewhat of a rebuilding year for the Redskins who are ranked 12th in the state with a record of 16-9.  This team has some very talented juniors, but Union isn't looking toward next season.  They would like to win three more and capture another gold ball.

Union and the 25-2 Putnam City Pirates play the late game Thursday night at the Mabee Center.  The Redskins are schedule to tip-off at 8:30pm.
