There's new a warning out about tax refund loans.

Federal regulators say the loans aren't worth it and they can put you at risk.

That's from the National Consumer Law Center.

They say the loans offered by tax preparers can carry an interest rate of 36%.

Other companies are giving customers a part of their refunds right away and then keep the rest of the money.
