Central National Bank robbed Friday morning

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCIV) - Georgetown County deputies responded to a bank robbery Friday morning.

According to officials, the Central National Bank on Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island was robbed shortly after 10 a.m.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 30s to early 40s with short gray hair, glasses, a black baseball cap with "POLICE" on it, a black leather jacket, cargo pants and white tennis shoes.

He left on foot and headed south toward North Causeway, deputies said.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or has any information about the robbery is asked to call the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at (843) 546-5101.
