Volunteer firefighter dies in accident on way to fire

RIDGEVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- A volunteer firefighter, on his way to fight a forest fire, was killed in an accident Sunday.

According to the Dorchester County corner, 58-year-old Michael Louis Broz 58 died on scene at the curve of Horseford Road just before Horseford Road bridge.

Coroner Chris Nesbit said Broz was a volunteer with the local fire department and was responding to a fire call at Beidler Forest in his pickup truck.
