GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) -- Students at Goose Creek High School will see first hand the dangers of drinking, drug usage and texting while driving.

The school, in partnership with Trident Medical Center and the High School Injury Prevention Coalition, will host the event. More than 500 students are expected to participate, officials said.

The program will show student drivers the dangers of drinking, drug usage and texting while driving through the use of Charleston County EMS' roll-over simulators, golf carts, "drunk goggles," texting devices and an obstacle course.

There will be six stations providing information on emergency response careers and showcasing emergency management tools. Charleston and Berkeley County EMS teams, as well as Goose Creek Rural Fire Department, State Troopers, Berkeley County HEAT Team members and the Trident Medical Nursing/American Heritage ambulance will be in attendance.

The event is being organized by Trident's trauma program and lasts from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
