Poll finds attitude shift among working moms

Posted: Updated:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A new poll says working moms increasingly want to work full time outside the home, and tough economic times might be a big reason.

The Pew Research Center study says researchers have seen a big spike in the share of working mothers who say they'd prefer to work full time.

Thirty-seven percent say that's their ideal, up from 21 percent in 2007. The shift coincides with the recession.
