JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) - Two sheds and three vehicles were destroyed in a fire on Johns Island Wednesday.
The first arriving unit to the Sassy Drive fire found a vehicle in the driveway and a shed behind the home on fire. Gusty winds allowed the fire to spread to the other shed and a wooded area behind the home, St. John's Fire officials said.
Because the closest hydrant was a half mile away, crews responding to the fire had to establish a rural water supply operation to shuttle the water to the scene, fire officials said.
No one was injured in the fire.
The fire's cause is being investigated.
