COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCIV) -- Gas prices across the state of South Carolina dropped another 2.7 cents last week, price tracking website GasBuddy announced Monday.
The average price per gallon of gas is currently $3.45. The national average fell 1.9 cents last week to $3.65 per gallon, the website said.
Prices across the state are down 12.8 cents per gallon than the same day one year ago and 9.8 cents lower than one month ago. The national average is 4.1 cents lower than the same time a month ago and 15 cents less than the same time period on year ago, GasBuddy said.
"The national average has seemingly found some relative stability in the last week," said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. "And while the national average hasn't seen much movement, some areas of the country have seen volatility continue, mainly in the Great Lakes states where prices may again be poised to rise in the next couple of days as wholesale prices reverberate as refineries continue their maintenance schedules and the progressive switch over to summer gasoline continues."
