Sticky Fingers to host fundraiser for Meals on Wheels
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Sticky Fingers location in downtown Charleston announced Sunday that it will host a fundraiser for the Meals on Wheels program. The event will be held on March 28 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
"We're hoping for a big turnout," Operating Partner Alex Daunter said. "We've arranged for volunteer staff so all the tips and gratuities can go straight to Meals on Wheels."
The event will be held in the Sticky Fingers located at 235 Meeting Street with all gratuity benefiting Meals on Wheels of Charleston.
In honor of its 20th anniversary, each Sticky Fingers restaurant location adopted a local charity and launched a fundraising campaign in January. So far, Sticky Fingers in downtown Charleston has raised over $3,000 for Meals on Wheels with a goal of $5,000 before the end of March.
Daunter says Sticky Fingers has always prided itself on supporting the local community.
"When we heard about the waiting list for Meals on Wheels of Charleston, we knew we could help," he said.
