CCSO: Man seeks help for gunshot wound at fire station

AWENDAW, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston County deputies responded to the Awendaw Fire Station around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday after they say a man showed up with a bullet wound to his leg.

The victim, an adult male, was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the hip area. He told deputies he was in McClellanville when he was shot.

Deputies say they are looking into the incident and trying to gather more information on where the shooting took place, suspects and motive.
