Comcast Cable has announced plans to open a new customer support center in the Harrisburg area and to hire 425 people to work at the facility by the end of the year.
The new facility is located at 2801 Valley Road in Susquehanna Township. Comcast will begin advertising and posting new positions next week.
Employees at the center will provide support to almost eight million Comcast customers in 14 states from Maine through Virginia and the District of Columbia. The company said it will continue to operate its five existing call centers in Pennsylvania.
With the new hires, Comcast said it will have more than 12,000 employees across Pennsylvania.
