CHARLESTON, S.C. (COFC)  Junior 6-foot-8 forward Trent Wiedeman has decided to forego his senior year and transfer from College of Charleston.

"It was a pleasure to coach Trent this year," CofC Head Coach Doug Wojcik said. "We did not want him to transfer, but it was his decision and we wish him the very best."

Wiedeman, a preseason All-Southern Conference Team selection, was hampered by two separate ankle injuries and played in 26 games of the season with four starts.

He averaged 8.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Cougars, who earned a postseason berth in the College Basketball Invitational and finished the year with a 24-11 overall record.
