Dispute at West Ashley gas station leads to arrests

WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) - North Charleston police arrested suspects believed to be involved in a dispute at a gas station in West Ashley Friday afternoon.

According to police, the dispute happened at the Exxon on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard around 2 p.m. Friday. Initial reports were of a robbery, but police later said there was not one.

The dispute was apparently over cellphones, police said.

North Charleston police were about to pick the suspects up within an hour on Florida Avenue, police said.
