CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - Charleston police captured a man they say pulled the trigger in a March 18 shooting.

According to police, 25-year-old David Leonard Capers was wanted on three arrest warrants for second-degree assault and battery. Police say Capers fired into another person's vehicle as it drove away on March 18.

He was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals around 6 p.m. Monday on Stonehenge Road. He is scheduled to have a bond hearing at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Capers was known to hang out in the Ardmore subdivision and in downtown Charleston in Gadsden Green and the East Side, police said.
