North Charleston standoff ends quietly

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - A standoff involving a man, police and U.S. Marshals ended peacefully shortly before 5 p.m. Friday.

Officials spent most of the day outside a Spring Creek Drive home in North Charleston waiting for a man, identified as William Rice, to come out of his home.

Rice had an outstanding warrant, officials said.

He is now in police custody.
