Posted: Updated:

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston County detectives are trying to identify two men  who were caught on surveillance video stealing catalytic converters from a pair of Jeep SUVs on March 24.

According to deputies, the thefts happened around 7:30 p.m. on the lot of a car dealership on Highway 78 in Summerville.

Officials describe the suspects as white men under the age of 40. The video shows the two men showing up in a red GMC Sierra crew cab truck with chrome front fender flares, chrome rails on the top of the truck and a gray and black stripe along the bottom of the truck. Officials hope the details of the truck will make it easier for the public to identify.

Anyone who knows who the two men are or who owns the red truck should call the sheriff's office at 843-308-7311.
