Police: North Charleston Sun Trust Bank robbed

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- North Charleston police are investigating a bank robbery that happened Monday morning at the Coosaw Creek Boulevard Sun Trust.

According to officials, the bank was robbed around 10:30 a.m. when a black male entered the bank armed with a handgun, went to teller counter and demanded money. 

Police said the employee complied and the suspect left the bank with an undetermined amount of money. 

Witnesses told police the suspect was seen getting into an older model green Honda (with a black male subject driving).  The Honda was last seen traveling on Patriot Blvd towards Palmetto Commerce Parkway.

No one inside of the bank was injured.  Anyone with information should contact NCPD at 554-5700.
