CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The man accused of shooting a City of Charleston police officer is behind bars Monday after his bond was revoked.

According to the Charleston County Detention Center, Mark Blake was booked around 12:30 p.m. Monday. The arresting agency is listed as the Thomas Holliday Bonding Company with SLED as the holding agency.

Blake was charged last April with two counts of unlawful carrying of a firearm and cocaine trafficking, but he had bonded out of custody.

Another charge also appears for failure to stop for blue lights.

Charleston Police Chief Greg Mullen said the shooting Saturday night stemmed from a traffic stop. Blake allegedly ran from officers and that's when the shooting happened, Mullen said. According to reports, the shooting happened in West Ashley near Sam Rittenberg and I-526.

Both the officer and the suspect were hit multiple times during the exchange, Mullen said.

All requests for details have been forwarded by CPD to SLED investigators. SLED spokesman Thom Berry told ABC News 4 that there is information from those initial reports that they are following up on. Once they get that done, Berry said the reports will be released to media.
