A Broken Arrow woman was arrested earlier this week after police discovered her driving under the influence with children inside the vehicle.

Jenks Police arrested Kendra Muilenburg just before 4:30 Monday on complaints of child endangerment and aggravated driving under the influence. This was after an SUV she had been driving was involved in a single-car crash near 10600 S. Elwood.

According to the police report, officers found Muilenburg at the scene of the wreck "unable to stand without assistance and was showing signs of being very intoxicated."

Upon further questioning the officers also witnessed that Muilenburg had red watery eyes, was slow to move and had an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person. When they asked her what happened she told them that someone had ran her off the road.

Muilenburg also told the officers that children were inside the vehicle at the time of the wreck, according to the release. Inside the vehicle was her 3-year-old child and a 2-year-old she was babysitting.

Police reported that it is unknown if they were placed in child restraints, but neither were injured. Muilenburg also was headed to a Pre-K school to pick up another child she was babysitting.

Muilenburg is now being held at the Tulsa County Jail. She is due back in court next week.
