HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
Police said they have filed charges against a student who assaulted a teacher during a fight at the Susquehanna Township Middle School in Dauphin County.
Township police said school staffers were trying to break up the fight between two male students when of the boys assaulted the teacher Monday.
The teacher had minor injuries, police said in a news release Thursday.
The student who assaulted the teacher was charged with one count
of aggravated assault and one count of simple assault. He was placed in
custody of Dauphin County Juvenile Probation and detained at Shaffner
Center, police said.
The other student is facing one count of simple assault through the juvenile justice system.
Police said the fight started in the cafeteria at lunch time and spilled into the hallway.
Two other students will be charged with disorderly conduct for their roles in inciting the fight, police said.
