LADSON, S.C. (WCIV) -- We all know the Coastal Carolina Fair is all about fun, but it's also about giving.

A massive amount of money is going to Lowcountry charities Thursday thanks to the The Exchange Club of Charleston.

The Exchange Club says $802,921 will go to 77 charities, scholarships and other programs in the surrounding area. That money comes from revenue from the 2012 Coastal Carolina Fair in Ladson.

The check presentation will be held at noon at the Citadel Alumni complex.

The Fair is operated by the Exchange Club of Charleston, which holds the distinction of  being the largest Exchange Club in the nation, as well as being one of the oldest service and civic clubs in the country.
