Deputies arrest 2 after finding meth, pot, LSD and Xanax

LADSON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Two people have been arrested after deputies executed a search warrant and found a meth lab.

According to Berkeley County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Dan moon, the Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a search warrant at 1024 Douglas Wayne Rd. on April 17. 

During the search Moon says agents found the components to make methamphetamine along with about 14 grams of a white powder substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine, 2.3 grams of marijuana, 12 dosage units of LSD (Acid) and 46 Xanax pills.

Authorities said the suspects, 37-year-old David Eugene Cauthen and 49-year-old Terri Goldman Wooten, both live in the home and were both arrested.

They are charged with trafficking meth,  distribution near a school, possession of a schedule four narcotic and possession of LSD. Cauthen is also charged with manufacturing meth. 

A statement from Dorchester District 2 identified Wooten as a teacher at Summerville Elementary School, adding that she would be placed on administrative leave until the charges against her are resolved.
