MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) - Officials with SCE&G say high winds are causing a number of power outages across the Lowcountry this afternoon.
The biggest to report Sunday was off Coleman Boulevard near Rifle Range and Ben Sawyer. Crews had power back up around 5 p.m.
Mount Pleasant Police say a transformer blew on Waterfront Drive.
That power outage caused traffic lights to go out. Police are directing traffic at the intersection of Hungryneck Boulevard and Venning Road until power is restored.
Police say there is no timetable for how long it may take to get the power back up.
ABC News 4 will have more on this story as it develops.
